Workshop Improvisationstheater Stuttgart: Improtheater für Anfänger

Workshop with the Improtheater Stuttgart at the Kulturhausverein Untertürkheim Impro for "newbies". Unfortunately not barrier-free.

A large part of our everyday lives consists of avoiding mistakes and trying to do everything right. As a result, we have often developed the best strategies to avoid getting ourselves into unknown situations.
In this improv theater workshop for beginners, we take the plunge into the deep end and face the unknown: In improvisational theater, stories, objects and characters emerge from the moment without having been rehearsed or agreed beforehand - the best training for our spontaneity muscles.

Using exercises from improvisational theater and classical acting, we will discover how to develop a scene together and how a different physicality affects our ideas. We will train ourselves to concentrate fully on the moment and our performance partners instead of planning ahead - and to welcome mistakes with enthusiasm instead of sweeping them more (or rather less) elegantly under the table. We will realize how free we are when we no longer give control to our inner censor, but instead trust our impulses.
