In a lecture entitled "The Nazi crimes of the Kripoleitstelle Stuttgart in the Hospitalviertel - the long road to coming to terms with them", Gudrun Greth and Ralf Bogen will explore various questions: What role did the Kripoleitstelle Stuttgart play in the Nazi dictatorship? Why has the memorial plaque only been commemorating members of sexual minorities for the last year?
After short impulses from young people on the question "Why and how do we remember Nazi crimes today?", there will be an intergenerational exchange. The event will conclude with a walk to the new memorial plaque on Leonhard-Lechner-Weg. Flowers will be laid here.
The event is being held in cooperation with the state capital Stuttgart, the House of History Baden-Württemberg, the Hospitalhof Protestant Education Center Stuttgart and the Sign of Remembrance. It will be accompanied by music from the young musicians Andrii Rubskyi and Yelisei Martynov from Ukraine and Alexander Nesterov from Russia. Their songs commemorate the millions of murdered victims of National Socialism from Belarus, Ukraine and Russia.
