Brewery Partner Carl-Peter Dinkelacker
A family brewery in the heart of the city: Dinkelacker is a Stuttgart institution, with its popular Dinkelacker, Schwabenbräu, Sanwald and Wulle beers. Partner Carl-Peter Dinkelacker is eager to carry on his great-grandfather's life's work – and maintain the high quality of the beers produced. The brewery cultivates centuries-old brewing skills: with regional ingredients, its own selected yeasts, traditional recipes. By the way, Dinkelacker CD-Pils was the very first Pilsner-type beer to be brewed in the state capital.
And why is the brewery located in the middle of town? One important factor was that beer could be stored here at low temperatures: the cellars around the perimeter of the hill known as Karlshöhe were ideal. And today you can, of course, enjoy local beers at the beer garden on top of Karlshöhe. The Dinkelacker Brewery is committed to Stuttgart, investing in future-oriented technology at the original location and encouraging its customers to experience the company at first hand, for example on a guided tour with beer tasting included.
To Carl-Peter Dinkelacker enjoyment also means good food. He was born in Cannstatt, and his favourite dish since early childhood has been Gaisburger Marsch – a traditional hotpot with tasty broth and hand-scraped Spätzle (noodles). Other Swabian classics are fried steak with onions and Maultaschen (filled pasta), served, of course with a moist potato salad.
He enjoys the unique atmosphere of a stroll through Stuttgart's Market Hall and the view from the Bismarck Tower after a "Stäffeles" (Steps) tour, especially during the Bismarck Tower Festival, where Wulle beer is served...
